2026 Update

Dedicated to extending radical hospitality to the least, the last, and the lost, the Madera Rescue Mission has faithfully served the Madera community since its establishment in 1987. Initially founded as a humble soup kitchen by a compassionate group of individuals, our organization has evolved to embrace a diverse range of individuals whom we wholeheartedly serve. The following groups are among those we strive to support:

We are an Emergency Housing Facility.

  • We provide food, a hot shower, a warm bed, & a safe place to rest to all who stay with us.

  • Up to 66 beds for our overnight guests. Men’s side.

  • Up to 28 beds for our overnight guests. Women’s side.

  • Up to 15 beds for our Men’s Program (9-12 months)

  • Up to 4 beds for our Women’s Program (9/12 months)

  • Up to 23 beds for our Behavioral Health clients (Men)

  • Up to 11 beds for our Behavioral Health clients (Women)

  • In total, that is 147 beds available for various clients that we serve here on any given night!

Tiny Home Project

In the near future, the construction of tiny homes will take place. Our plan is to erect six tiny homes known as the Triage Center, featuring two bedrooms in each unit along with a kitchen, bathroom, and living room. By doing so, we will have the capacity to accommodate an additional 12 guests. This initiative falls under the scope of Rapid Rehousing and will be complemented by diligent case management.
