  • The Men/Women's programs have Faith base Biblical principles and teachings that help them navigate through life challenges and find solutions to each one’s needs. Through the Direction of Greg/Lynda and a variety of volunteers that Teach our Men/Women going through our program. Many of them are Pastors/Professional people that care for our Disciples. They are assigned chores and are provided free time as well. We take them to various churches on Wednesdays and Sundays. This helps them to interact with people that also care about them. Once a Disciple has graduated, we do offer an additional 6 months to live on campus to help them through this transition time. Many of them will get a job and need help to navigate through working and being good citizens. There are challenges and we are here to help. Greg and Lynda have served at the Mission for over 15 years and without them, the Mission would not run and serve as it does.

  • We also have entered a partnership with Behavioral Health County of Madera. In this partnership, we offer many of the classes provided for our Disciples. It's up to them if they want to participate. If not, BH has various events, and weekly case management for each client, to see how they are and to help them make progress. Many of them volunteer with us on Food Box giveaway days. They enjoy serving and giving back. Our BH Managers Travis and June also perform some case management with each client. Travis/June create an atmosphere of calm and some fun. By interacting with them through games, and outside activities. We enjoy working with BH staff and we see the clients improve. We also have set up a schedule for the BH clients to participate in chores and activities.

  • We started this ministry in 2022. The Connection Ministry assists all the people we serve here. Trained mission staff help them with their documents, legal paperwork, and provide assistance for their needs. We inquire about what is happening in their lives and assess how the mission can support them or collaborate with our partners in Madera, such as CAPMC, Behavioral Health, and the Department of Social Services. MRM also coordinates mobile medical services with Camerena and the Department of Social Services to enroll our clients and guests for medical services. Selected members of our staff have received training to submit information to the county-wide HMIS system. We foster a teamwork environment here at the mission.

We teach them SAFETY, Hands on skills with tools, we show them how to use a tape measure and how to figure out mathematical problems. We teach them a variety of trades. Landscaping, Painting, Flooring, Concrete, Carpentry, some light electrical, plumbing Basic maintenance of buildings. With this, we also teach them how to communicate with people, customers, and each other. At this time, we only have the Men in this ministry, we are looking at how we can engage our women in various areas as well. Our women right now volunteer at the Madera Food Bank in preparing food boxes. We are very excited about where this ministry could go. • We have partnered with the County of Madera, the City of Madera, and the Community Action Partnership of Madera County. We will break ground any day for our Madera Rescue Mission Triage Center. They will build 6-2-bedroom units on our campus. These units will be used to house people in need of help. Due to the loss of a home, loss. of a job and having no place to live or sleep in garages and or someone's couch. We will case manage them and provide all the opportunities to get their feet back on the ground. Through case management, the time frame is 3-6 months to accomplish these goals. We believe with our local partners as a team we can get this done.

Tiny Home Project

In the near future, the construction of tiny homes will take place. Our plan is to erect six tiny homes known as the Triage Center, featuring two bedrooms in each unit along with a kitchen, bathroom, and living room. By doing so, we will have the capacity to accommodate an additional 12 guests. This initiative falls under the scope of Rapid Rehousing and will be complemented by diligent case management.
